Offbeat Mara Lodge

Offbeat Mara Camp is situated in a prime position in the Mara North Conservancy contiguous with the Masai Mara Reserve. It therefore benefits from the large game densities and migration spilling over from the main reserve but has none of the crowds with it.

This attractive little canvas camp is tastefully appointed and sits in a pretty clump of woodland, along a stream in one of the loveliest parts of the Mara landscape. The softly rolling plains and clumps of acacias make for a great backdrop to an incredibly concentrated selection of resident game, as well as playing host to the annual migration. Close by the Offbeat lion pride patrols this area as its territory and is never too far away.

Activities focus on morning and afternoon vehicle safari, bush meals, night drives in the conservancy, plus full day safaris into the main reserve for river crossings. There is a lovely intimate ambience about Offbeat Mara Camp due to its small size and pleasant camp managers.

Being situated in the Mara North Conservancy is a huge advantage due to the low visitor numbers and guests can get a real feel and representation of the Mara. The ability to do scenic sundowners and bush meals whilst being surrounded by the wildlife of the bush adds to the experience.
