Sausage Tree Camp Sausage Tree Camp is situated in a prime spot on the banks of the Lower Zambezi National park. It boasts magical location of glistening Zambezi waterways in front of camp, and some of the loveliest mature riverine woodland behind. With a laid back atmosphere of chic designer lodge, but rooted in a range of real earthy safari activities. The open-sided dining areas and decking over the river are particularly attractive and fine-dining barbecues are often hosted down on the river banks. The rooms themselves are cool, spacious and luxurious in nature and make an interesting camp addition to a more rustic but equally endearing bush camp in the South Luangwa. The range and combination of well-guided activities are the exciting part of Sausage Tree. Guests can spend the morning on a canoe safari interspersed with some walking safari, and the afternoon on a vehicle safari, followed by a night drive. The next day guests might decide to take a motorised steel boat out with their guide to a sandy island in the middle of the mighty Zambezi River, then observe a feeding herd of elephants in the forest on foot and walk back into camp for sundowner drinks.
