South American Safaris South America has a fascinating array of landscapes and wildlife, set within a historic backdrop of Inca ruins and Spanish colonial influence. There are some incredibly exciting and exclusive fly-in experiences to be had in the remoter parts of the Pantanal and Amazon basin, where human influence is non-existent and wildlife prolific. Saving and protecting the jaguar, Latin America’s largest big cat, is also the foundation of a wider initiative to save the last virgin tracts of wilderness on this diverse continent. Contributing to this initiative is high-end eco-tourism and we have selected some of the most impactful reserves and concessions to send our guests to. A lot of the wildlife in South America is concealed by jungle, yet there are a handful of experiences in Patagonia, the sensitive Brazilian savannahs and Pantanal and the Peruvian Amazon, which deliver truly wild pumas, tapirs, giant anteaters, macaws, pink river dolphins, giant otters and the elusive jaguar.
