Conservation Safaris and Expeditions Our principal vision is to improve the foundation of conservation in Africa and certain areas of the world. This comes in the form of wildlife and wild lands conservation, the former being impossible without the latter. Through our exclusive conservation safaris and expeditions we give clients a chance to contribute to this effort directly through active and hands on collaboration with researchers, conservation professionals and scientists. Conservation is the core reason for our existence as a tailor-made travel company. The most effective proven method to protect and save wilderness areas is to make the best use of the income created from exceptionally well-managed and low impact tourism. The operative words here being well-managed and low impact, rejecting any forms of mass tourism or over development, which is why we only support those lodges and experiences that are rigorous advocates for high-end conservation tourism in remote areas. This benefits the landscapes, wildlife and local communities within the vicinity. On every tailor-made safari we put together, clients are directly helping this bigger picture conservation effort by generating concession and national park fees, which are built in to the cost of each of the lodges’ bed nights. A focal point of ours is to direct business to suppliers and lodge owners who we know first-hand are responsible for protecting vast swathes of the wildernesses in which they operate. However, there is no better way than to get involved directly, so JPS has teamed up with a selection of partners to create a collection of extraordinary private conservation safaris and expeditions. Track elephants in a remote part of the Okavango; observe the predator and prey interactions of lions and buffalo in Botswana; or track desert rhino on an official Save the Rhino Trust sortie. Set up motion sensor trail cameras in remote wilderness areas and go back to see the movements of endangered species in the area. We will work with you to craft your own custom expedition — just fill in our custom enquiry form. You will have an insider’s view of the active conservation and research projects that we feel are shaping Africa and its wildlife. Through active and privileged participation you will have a chance to witness first-hand the positive changes of well-managed conservation projects.
