Singita Sasakwa Lodge Singita Sasakwa Lodge is situated in the vast 1300 square kilometre pristine area stretching west of the Grumeti River, the protected conservation concession of the Grumeti Game Reserve. The stunning reserve, comprising sweeping acacia-studded plains has a good deal of resident game and usually plays host to the passing migration herds of wildebeest and zebra between June and October. The reserve is a vital conservation success due to its protection of a vital corridor of the northern Serengeti, and creates a buffer for the iconic Serengeti wilderness. The soil is particularly rich and fertile here with it receiving slightly higher rainfall, and therefore the region supports large herbivore populations with their predators nearby, year-round. Quality of sightings from the lodge is high, due to the exclusive access of the concession being given to Singita guests, and the concession permitting of off-road driving. Walking safaris and night drives ensure a richer all-round safari experience to complement the day drives. The impact of Sinita Sasakwa lodge comes from its raised position on a ridge with sweeping views of its own private part of the Grumeti concession. Guest rooms have a private pool and the main areas are furnished in lavish colonial style. For all abilities there are even horse-riding safaris which are simply exceptional in the extremely rich and varied terrain, surrounded by game. The wonderfully private Serengeti experience is hosted professionally with exquisite fine dining.
